Woods Run resident and Urban Trails Litter Specialist, Paul Laure, has removed over 87,000 lbs of trash from the watershed.

On average Paul spends 15-20 hrs a week picking up trash along sidewalks, streets, back alleys and highways. As a litter specialist, Paul will continue his weekly litter collection, document findings, and help to raise community awareness of environmental challenges facing our neighborhood.
Goals and Objectives
1. Litter Removal:
- Regularly clean streets and public spaces in underserved neighborhoods to improve environmental and public health.
2. Data Collection and Analysis:
- Document and categorize the types of litter collected (e.g., single-use plastics, hazardous waste) to inform waste management policies and community outreach programs.
3. Community Awareness:
Engage with local residents to promote waste reduction practices and inspire stewardship of public spaces.
